Benefits of Exercise

Everybody says that exercise is good for you and it is true. Exercise greatly benefits a person because through aerobic activities the heart becomes stronger thus is able to pump out blood that delivers oxygen to all parts of the body more efficiently. Exercise also strengthens other muscles (apart from the heart) and, depending on your exercise program and regimen, exercise can make your muscles bulk up.

Apart from strengthening your muscles, exercise also makes your body more supple or flexible. Being flexible allows you to move your body easily, particularly your arms and legs, without feeling any tightness or pain. For those who are concerned about weight gain, regular exercise helps maintain the balance of calories in your system. If you have taken in a relatively larger amount of calories than normal, exercising would help burn the additional calories you have consumed.

Finally, what Elle Woods said in Legally Blonde is true: exercise does make you happy. Researches show that when you exercise, the brain releases endorphins and endorphins are chemicals that positively affect a person’s moods.

With all these going for you, what are you waiting for? Get on your feet and start moving those muscles! You’re one step closer to being physically fit.
