Erectile Dysfunction
Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is defined as the repeated inability of a man to sustain an erection until the consummation of sexual intercourse. It also termed as impotence; although being impotent does not necessarily mean one has ED. Normally, an erection occurs when the muscles in the penis relax and blood is able to freely flow in and fill the corpora cavernosa (two hollow chambers in the penis). When the blood is unable to enter these chambers and instead, flows out into other channels; the penis is unable to remain erect, thus leading to Erectile Dysfunction (ED).
