About Cholesterol

Cholesterol is one word dreaded by those who stick to weight-losing diets, the obese, and those with health conditions requiring its limited intake. It is the substance found in animal fats and oils, egg yolk, and of course, the human body. It is most commonly found in the blood, brain tissue, liver, kidneys, adrenal glands and fatty covers around nerve fibers. When we hear the word cholesterol, we often associate it to fattening. However, cholesterol also has good functions for our body. Knowing more about this substance would then help us in deciding whether to eat or not to eat, as we prepare our mouth-watering meals everyday.
